WE ARE OPEN AGAIN
8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am – 2pm on Saturday for ALL private appointments and urgent/ essential NHS appointments.
Please call us before you visit the practice as we are now operating an “appointment only” system.
Your new patient journey
We will initially book a Telephone or Video Consultation with one of our optometrists to determine whether a face to face appointment is clinically necessary. She will then go through your medical history.
If you have any symptoms of Covid19, it is vitally important that you do not attend your appointment and follow the government guidelines around self-isolation
On the day of your appointment please visit the toilet before you leave the house, as we can not allow you to use ours. Please try to attend alone unless you require assistance or are supporting a child.
When you arrive, the door will be locked, please press the buzzer and we will open the door. If you have your own face mask put this on before entering. If you don’t have one we will supply a face mask at a charge of £1.00. There is a hand-sanitising station by the door so please give your hands a good rub.
You will notice our receptionists are behind a screen and all staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE. This may mean that it is more difficult to see our faces but please be assured it is the same friendly team They all have new uniforms which they will change out of before leaving and wash every night.
During your eye examination the optometrist may adapt certain tests to minimise the close contact. In order to allow for social distancing we will be operating a “One Patient Policy” and extending our appointment times so absolutely everything is cleaned and disinfected between patients. When choosing new glasses all frames that are tried on will be sterilised afterwards. Please pay at the end with using a card rather than cash.
We hope you can rest assured when visiting that every step has been taken to ensure your safety.
